Welcome fellow Beekeepers,
Come on out to the U.C.B.A. Spring Meeting taking place on April 9th, 2013 at Casselview Golf & Country Club. This is an event not to be missed, buzzing with all kinds of information !
We will be featuring Melanie Kempers from the O.B.A. Tech Transfer Program as our keynote speaker. She will share with us her knowledge on the bee kill incidents that have taken place last year, how to identify and report these problems, etc.
Penny McCaig, a longtime beekeeper and honey judge will give us an overview on entering honey in a competition.
These presentations will start at 7:00 p.m. . Cost for meeting only is free for U.C.B.A. members and $5 for non-U.C.B.A. members if not taking a meal.
Why not come out a little earlier and join other beekeepers for a scrumptious roast beef dinner with all the trimmings starting at 6:00 p.m. . Dinner cost is $25 per person for U.C.B.A. members and $30 per person for non-U.C.B.A. members (all taxes & tips & meeting included as well as coffee/tea & dessert). Please reserve your plate via e-mail to ucba@hotmail.ca or a phone call to 613-527-3149 by April 5th. This is a great time to visit with other beekeepers !
If you would like to sign-up or renew your U.C.B.A. membership, now is the time to do so. It is $20 per person/couple for the year.
Also, anybody that has borrowed U.C.B.A. library items, please return them at the meeting so that other members will have a chance to borrow them.

- Hwy. 417 to exit 66 (Casselman)
- Go south (away from village of Casselman)
- Take first road on right hand side (after Restauparc), Aurele Rd.
- Casselview will be located down the road on the right hand side
